libcdi-dev software package provides Development files for the climate data interface library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcdi-dev
libcdi-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcdi-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcdi-dev *
You will get with libcdi-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
